Manstria
Habitat: Alvus
Description
"Manstria" is the name given to a species of entity that takes the form of an amorphous mass of flesh, extremely strong and resilient, and so ferocious that it's no wonder survivors called it monster. This entity show no fear of anything and capable of regenerating injuries at a rapid rate. The entity is known for its ability to change its form into anything, which makes it very easy for the entity to capture prey. This entity is found exclusively within Alvus; reports of its presence elsewhere is likely misidentification of distant, similar relatives. Manstria has become the main terror in Alvus due to its clever use of its shape-shifting abilities. This entity deceives survivors by changing its appearance into inanimate objects or people in trouble, causing survivors to distrust their surroundings. The entity can also perfectly transform into survivors and replace them with its excellent acting skills. This hunting tactic has been deemed highly effective in dividing survivor groups and spreading fear among those who enter Alvus.
Behavior
Manstria is known as an entity that is highly skilled at trapping its prey. The entity is also known for: its high intelligence and ability to quickly learn new things it encounters, capable of understanding language and imitating it to confuse survivors, and developed a complex communication system throughout Alvus to share information about the whereabouts of survivors who have entered the level. Manstria hunt in groups and use tactics to deceive their targets, which they vary according to the entity needs: some Manstria individuals may try to challenge their targets to fight, while others may take a more passive approach to hunt their targets. This entity known to have a fairly high social attitude, where it's very active in interacting with each other and will help fellow Manstria. The entity also shows a protective attitude towards their younglings, where adult Manstria will be very aggressive towards any living creature (including its own kind) that threatens young Manstria.
Manstria strongly dislike Almond Water because this object can disrupt and damage its body structure, in many cases killing it, so the use of Almond Water to repel Manstria is highly recommended. Manstria greatly enjoy Cashew Water because the object gives the entity additional energy and strengthens its body structure, so carrying this item is highly not recommended.
Biology
Broadly speaking, Manstria's body consists of only two parts, namely the core and the "placenta." The core acts like a heart and brain, and if destroyed, it can lead to the death of this entity. The "placenta" acts as the body but with more flexibility. The placenta is produced by the core, so as long as the core is still active, the placenta will continue to regenerate. The position of the core is very difficult to determine because its location is always random and it is wrapped in a thick layer of placenta.
Manstria do not have the various components of other living beings, such as organs, blood vessels, and nervous systems. Its placenta can transform into various organs, such as the digestive system, circulatory system, nervous system, and skeletal system, as needed. An interesting feature of the placenta is that it has several lines that resemble fibers or vessels and appear to pulsate. By observing these pulsations, survivors can estimate the location of the core of this entity. However, this activity is not recommended because these lines are difficult to see and must be viewed from close range.
By utilizing its elastic placenta, Manstria can change its shape into anything it wants (amorphous) and the shape changes are estimated to be unlimited, but usually only in accordance with the size and how much placentas it has. These shape changes include the shapes of living things to large objects around it; however, this entity cannot mimic the shape of objects that are smaller than itself. This shapeshifting is done to facilitate trapping its prey.
Because the placenta is amorphous, Manstria can produce tendril-like organs that can lengthen and shorten at will. The maximum length of these tendrils is estimated to be three times the size of the body, but other opinions say that the maximum length depends on how much placenta it has. Usually, these tendrils are produced to capture, grab, or even whip targets. When combined with knife-shaped bones, these tendrils become a deadly weapon. The bones can also be used as armor to protect the core or as a shell to shield the entire body from physical attacks or Almond Water sprays, making Manstria difficult to kill. Additionally, placenta that has been transformed into bone structure cannot be converted back into placenta.
Do's and Don'ts
Do's:
- Stay calm and walk slowly inside Alvus; they are hiding around you.
- Throw a rock or small object at anything suspicious from a distance, and the entity will reveal itself.
- Run immediately if you encounter a Manstria that is not hiding.
- As you run, remember not to make too much noise or bump into anything.
- Make sure you have protective gear with you to increase your chances of survival as you escape.
- If you get caught in a placenta tendril, use a knife to cut it. Or you can douse it with Almond Water to damage the placenta so you can escape.
- Make sure you have a spear in your hand to attack the entity and to keep your distance from it, even though contact with it is very risky.
Don'ts:

- Be noisy and do silly things.
- Bring Cashew Water with you, the entity is very attracted to it (especially the smell).
