Entity Number: C-13
Habitats: All
description:
The Pallbearer is a kind of peaceable humanoid Entity. Its habitats spread all over the Backrooms. According to available data, its number in the Level depends on the number of wanderers in the Level. The more wanderers there are, the more the Pallbearers.
Behaviors:
The Pallbearer are peaceful, it will never attack on wanderers. The Pallbearer is afraid of standing-wanderers, when its distance with standing-wanderer is less than 10 meters, it will shout in a baby‘s voice and run away from wanderer at a breakneck speed1.
Usually, the Pallbearers wander aimlessly in the Level. They’d like to haunt beside bases, outposts and communities with large concentrations of wanderer.
When a wanderer lay down2, the surrounding Pallbearers will then go to the location of the wanderer, put them into a coffin that is about 2.5 meters long, and carry it away. This behavior is known as "bury". After the Pallbearer puts wanderers in the coffin, it will carry the coffin for a long time. After 3 to 5 days, much Pallbearers as much wanderers that put into the box as will clime out of the coffin, and then the coffin will suddenly disappear.
At present, about the coffin, we only know the approximate length of the coffin and its pure black color. The source of the coffin was described as "appearing out of the blue." No matter what state the wanderer was in before entering the coffin, after entering the coffin, they won’t struggle. So it is presumed that the wanderer will die immediately after entering the coffin. The space inside the coffin is unknown, supposedly is infinite3.
When the Pallbearer is burying the wanderers, Its vigilance will be greatly increased and look around a lot. When it find out a wanderer, it will crow loudly, and the wanderer it founds will immediately fall into a deep coma and has put in the coffin by the Pallbearer. So it is infeasible for tracking it when it is burying wanderers.
The Pallbearers are afraid of fire and hard light and will try to dodge them. After about 30 minutes of light exposure, the skin of the Pallbearer will fall off and the Pallbearer will die.
Biology:
The Pallbearers are usually tall and lean. Their skin looks grayish white. The skull is small and round. The arms are longer than the body, usually 2-3 meters. It has seven fingers on one palm and other features are similar to Homo sapiens.
There is no skin on the head of the Pallbearers, but only a skull similar to Homo sapiens.
Discovery:
Pallbearers was found in a base accident. All the members of the base disappeared in one night, and surveillance revealed that all the members were sleeping and being packed into a coffin by a tall, lanky, long-armed humanoid Entity. A follow-up investigation uncovered this Entity and named it “the Pallbearer” because of its behaviors. It was filed formally after multiple discoveries.
