Description
Memory Warehouse
Memory Warehouse is a dark warehouse that resembles a complex maze of narrow passages. The level’s layout is essentially very simple—if not for the random items that usually cover every wall—consisting merely of a cluster of small rooms connected by narrow corridors. Shelves and cabinets can be found leaning against the walls, fully stocked with items; there are other pieces of furniture like tables and chairs, though they’ll likely be covered by junk. Survivors can find light switches on the walls, though not all of them work—but if you’re lucky, the neon lights inside the rooms will turn on. However, the room’s lights only glow dimly, so bringing your own lighting is highly recommended. The items within the level are incredibly diverse, including electronics, tools, glassware, secondhand goods, small vehicles, accessories, and much more. All these objects are neatly arranged, some covered in cloth and others left exposed; they are also covered in a layer of dust and spider webs, giving the impression that this warehouse has been forgotten by time.
Worn-out items that are no longer relevant to the modern era, along with stacks of newspapers in many languages covering various past events, can be found arranged in many locations. It’s no wonder survivors liken the level to an old warehouse due to the impression of storage from the past, which has become its common nickname. Many survivor testimonies state that they, in a way they cannot explain, can recognize the majority of the items in the level. These testimonies suggest that most of the items are somehow connected to the survivor’s past—whether from their childhood or something they once saw somewhere. However, the survivor themselves isn’t certain whether all these items are from their past or not; this doubt arises due to the blurred nature of the survivor’s memories. All these vague feelings of familiarity feel very strange and can be unsettling if overthought; it’s recommended to ignore these feelings and focus solely on finding a way out.
The survivor must be able to build their own shelter if they wish to rest within the level; using nearby props to build a shelter is not too difficult, as there are many variations of shelters that can be constructed. However, the level’s high temperature and lack of proper ventilation pose a threat to the survivor’s physical health if they remain inside for too long. Another threat comes from the presence of Smilers, which can be found in various places—whether in hallways or hidden behind objects. These threats are at least manageable as long as the survivor is well-prepared.
If a group of survivors enters this level, each group member will become separated and scattered across different locations within the level. Additionally, the level will continuously generate new layouts and environments, ensuring that every visit offers a unique experience. This also means that anything left behind in the level will be lost forever, making mapping impossible. Strangely, the level will isolate all survivors who enter it; even members of the same survivor group who are separated from one another will be unable to contact or meet each other. Nevertheless, exiting this level is considered not too difficult to achieve, provided the survivor possesses sufficient physical strength to face the level’s challenging environment and the determination to keep trying to find a way out.
Entrances and Exit
Entrances
You can enter this level by finding an entrance inside the basement of a residential building; this entrance is usually a weathered wooden door located in a corner of the basement. Levels with a residential theme are highly likely to have a basement in one of their buildings, but the entrance to this level will not always be present in every basement. However, survivors can find this access with greater reliability in one of the houses in The Suburbs, and Megamendung, as well as in one of the rooms in High Density Residential, as there have been numerous reports of access to this level being discovered within these three levels.
Exit
Look for a white door, as this is the only way to exit the level; however, the door may also lead to the other side of the level or serve as access to a bathroom. Survivors simply need to keep moving to find this door and remain patient if they encounter the wrong doors.
