Prambanian

Prambanan is a temple complex with a square layout; more than 200 temples have been identified, arranged in a haphazard pattern—some even attached to one another. These temples bear a resemblance—both in appearance and in the composition of their building materials—to the Prambanan Temple on Earth, complete with their statues. The carvings found on the temples at this level are random and their meaning is unclear, unlike the versions on Earth, which depict stories from the past. This complex stands on barren land with a few trees growing at scattered locations; the area outside the complex is a desert of unknown extent, making sandstorms possible at this level.

Some temple structures are known to be unstable due to their near-collapsed state, likely caused by the persistent sandstorms on this level that have eventually damaged the temples’ structures. The sizes of the temples on this level vary widely, ranging from large (approximately 50 meters tall) to quite small (less than 5 meters). Some of them have rooms accessible to survivors; the interior of these rooms is usually empty and quite cool, making them suitable as shelters from the heat. Some temple structures have cracks from which cold water seeps out; this can be used by survivors as a primary source of drinking water as well as a way to cool off. Some even form pools inside the temples, allowing survivors to bathe in them.

This level features extremely high temperatures (estimated at around 36–43°C) with the sun seemingly fixed in the sky during the day; no clouds are visible, and no weather phenomena such as rain occur within this level. Temperatures can rise drastically above normal levels, posing a danger to survivors; its arrival can be detected by the sky turning a darker shade than usual. When this phenomenon occurs, the rooms inside the temple complex can be used as shelters until the temperature drops again. In rare cases, the temperature can rise to extremely high levels, capable of causing burns to survivors who do not take shelter inside the temple complex; this heat can even transform sandstorms into fiery blazes capable of burning anything they touch.

Non-temple structures such as trees, directional signs, empty kiosks, and benches at this level are known to possess extremely high durability, as they do not burn during super-hot sandstorms. All these ancillary structures also give the impression of a “tourist destination” despite the extreme environmental conditions. Consequently, Prambanan is occasionally visited by survivors for various reasons.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Touching the television showing the temple on Saneless Show can transport survivors to this level.
  • This level can also be accessed by noclipping on the image of a temple in Balihud Hotel.

Exits

  • Noclipping on the trees can transport survivors to Land of Earth or Silent Ascent.
  • Entering the sandstorm will take the survivor to Sand City. Once the sandstorm subsides and the sand turns a vibrant yellow and orange, it means the survivor has reached Sand City. However, since the sandstorms in Prambanian are quite dangerous, entering the level this way is not recommended.
