One of the many hallways on Level 2.
Level 2 is the 3rd level of the Backrooms. Don't stay here too long if you still want to be aware of your surroundings.
Description
The hallways of Level 2 cover an extremely large and presumably infinite area. They are composed of grayish concrete walls that are apparently impenetrable by conventional means. The gray ceiling is upholstered with random figures and, every few meters, is crossed by metal frames that join the walls in a square arch above the white tile floor; This usually seems like the rule in every hallway. From time to time service doors can be found between the corridors leading to the next section and are usually unlocked in most cases. The only light source on the level is made up of small lamps that are fixed on the frame at ground level and just as the wall is impossible to destroy. Despite this, there are times when the lighting may fail and the level will remain at a very dim level of light, making it difficult for the explorer inside to see.
The space in which Level 2 is located is complicated to record, since it is Non-Euclidean and one could well be walking in a fixed direction and find that one is heading to another point on the initial route and even return through where it came from. This is a phenomenon that remains in a permanently active state within the level and seems to keep its structure constantly changing without being noticed at first glance, added to the fact that all the corridors usually have an extreme degree of similarity, which is what makes the orientation be one of the most laborious parts. However, compasses and GPS manage to detect the lag of locations, but are damaged in the process.
Measurements of oxygen within the level were made and the results showed a high degree of an airborne agent of unknown origin presumed to be present in all areas of the level. The gas has not been proven to be toxic but has no color or odor, and this has led to the fact that it is the cause of the hallucinations that have been reported by wanderers who evacuated successfully therefore, it is not advisable to stay for a long time as there is a risk of being trapped indefinitely, which leads to disappearance and subsequent death if you do not have the appropriate equipment.
